How Michael Jackson Connects Me To 9-11
July 1, 2009 by Daniel Ambrose
This is off subject for my regular readers and I apologize to you for not writing in the past few days, but I think after you have read this post you will understand why I have failed to write these past few days and why I return with this post today, and I trust you will forgive me.
The whole world has lost someone special in losing Michael Jackson, the world was truly a better place with him in it. There is only one other time since being an adult, that I remember feeling so affected by the loss of someone that was not closely related, and that was on September 11th, 2001.
I realize one has nothing to do with the other and the only reason I bring them together for comparison is because of how each one affected me and caused such pain to people all over the world. I was so deeply affected by 9-11, that it would bring tears to my eyes just to think of it.
Not being a New-Yorker, I had no real feelings for the loss of the two towers, as many New-Yorkers would have, but I was deeply affected by the many senseless deaths of employees, guests, visitors and children within those towers, and the Pentagon that was struck later.
Then there were also the persons on the flights that were driven into the towers, the Pentagon, and into the ground, and they were followed by the many police and firefighters, who bravely charged in to try and save anyone that was in need without even pausing to consider the risk to their own lives.
Michael Jackson was a giver. He gave more to the world then most will ever realize, and it was in no way limited to just his music. He donated millions of dollars to various causes that were desperately in need of contributors and even after his passing, it is said that Michael had left even more to various charities. Michael Jackson was a giver, and his giving continues even though he is gone.
My life has been touched by Michael Jackson, as has millions of other peoples lives, and inspired by him through his music and his selfless giving to the world. We have lost an entertainer, an inspiration and a wonderful individual.
I am truly saddened by his passing and that like he was unable to enjoy his childhood, he is once again unable to enjoy a childhood. The childhood of his three beautiful children, and for this I am even more saddened.
To my regular readers, I hope to return to posting about our usual subject of interest as soon as tomorrow, but likely not until after Michael Jackson has been laid to rest. I apologize to my readers and I trust you will understand and forgive this interruption to our blog and I hope you will feel free to comment in the box located below. Thank you for visiting our blog, and please, return soon.
My Tribute to the late-great Michael Jackson.
Heaven is a better place with his arrival.
Sadly earth is a lessor place since his departure.
